Roll-off dumpster rental in McKinney

About 43 miles north-north-east of the yard, roughly 55 minutes — US-75 north to Spur 399 and SH 5 into downtown.

McKinney is US-75 north from the yard, about 55 minutes to City Hall on Tennessee Street — the longest run on our list, and next morning as a rule. The city has grown from 131,000 to 236,000 since 2010, owner-occupancy is 64% (Census) and the median home value is over $470,000.

The work is roofs after hail, kitchens and baths in 1990s to 2010s houses, historic-district renovations around the square, and commercial fit-outs around Craig Ranch, Adriatica and the Collin College campus.

What comes out of McKinney properties

Roofs, kitchens, baths, decks and fences in 1990s to 2010s houses, and careful renovations in the historic district. The City's designated contractor, Waste Connections, collects residential trash with bulky waste twice a year that excludes construction debris, and residents get two free pickup loads a month at the landfill.

Permits, placement and who may haul in McKinney

Right-of-way: no dumpster permit found. Code Sec. 90-4 makes it unlawful to obstruct any street, alley, sidewalk, curb or gutter except under authority granted by the city council. Keep the container on the property; commercial containers sit where the customer, the City and its contractor agree (Sec. 86-29).

Who may haul — the rule that matters: Code Sec. 86-32 says the City "shall designate a contractor to regularly collect and remove all garbage … and solid waste … from all premises within the corporate city limits"; Sec. 86-33(b) makes it unlawful to engage in the business of collecting solid waste "except as may be specifically authorized by contract with the city"; and Sec. 86-2 says commercial containers "shall specifically include all roll-off containers." The only outside permit is for recyclable materials (Sec. 86-34). The City's page names Waste Connections for temporary roll-off service; Solid Waste Services is on 972-547-7385. We state this plainly: tell us the job and we will tell you straight where it stands.

How it works

Booking a dumpster in McKinney

Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.

  1. 1

Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask what you are clearing, where the container needs to sit, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us. No forms, no waiting on an email.

  2. 2

We size it and quote it flat

You get one number covering delivery, the 7-day rental, pickup, disposal and a stated tonnage allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so.

  3. 3

    Delivered where you want it

The driver walks the spot with you and sets the container square on the driveway, lot or job site, boards under the rails. Same-day in Dallas if you called before noon.

  4. 4

    Load at your own pace

Keep it level with the top rail and keep the banned items out. Need a swap mid-job or an early pickup? One call and we are on it.

  5. 5

We haul it and sort it right

Concrete, metal and green waste get routed for recovery where North Texas facilities allow; the rest goes to a permitted landfill. You get your driveway back the way you left it.

Local answers

Dumpster rental in McKinney — common questions

Is McKinney same-day or next-day?

Next morning as a rule — it is the longest run on our list at about 55 minutes.

Can a dumpster sit in the street in McKinney?

Not without the city council's authority under the code, and we found no permit route. The driveway or lot is the answer.

Does McKinney restrict who can supply a roll-off?

Yes — the City designates one contractor for all solid waste and its code names roll-offs specifically. Tell us what the job is and we will say honestly what we can do.
