Roll-off dumpster rental in Rowlett

About 30 miles north-east of the yard, roughly 41 minutes — I-30 east to the Bush Turnpike, then north to Main Street.

Rowlett is I-30 east and the Bush Turnpike north from the yard, about 41 minutes to City Hall on Main Street, and usually next morning. The city sits on Lake Ray Hubbard — the building boom followed the lake's completion in 1971 — and is the most owner-occupied city on our run at 75% (Census).

The December 2015 EF4 tornado cut a 13-mile path through south-east Rowlett and damaged or destroyed hundreds of homes, so a lot of the housing is post-storm rebuild. The work is roofs, remodels, decks and fences, plus the Sapphire Bay lagoon development on the lake.

What comes out of Rowlett properties

Roofs after hail, kitchens and baths in 1970s to 90s houses, decks, fences and the occasional lake-house remodel. Republic Services collects bulk and brush up to two cubic yards a week at the front curb (the code caps it there too), with extra charged per cubic yard, and residents may dump free at the C.M. Hinton landfill twice a year.

Permits, placement and who may haul in Rowlett

Right-of-way: no dumpster permit found. Code Sec. 50-2(g) says bulk and brush shall not be placed in the street, on the sidewalk or in an alley, and the right-of-way management article is for utility facilities. Keep the container on the property.

Who may haul — the rule that matters: Code Sec. 50-3(a), as amended in August 2024, says the City "shall be the sole provider of solid waste and recyclables collection, hauling, and disposal services including … the provision and use of temporary roll-off open-top construction containers," and Sec. 50-3(d) makes it unlawful without a City franchise, contract or permit. The City's own page says "Permitted Temporary Waste Haulers: Republic Services has exclusive rights." Utility Customer Service is on 972-412-6105. We state this plainly: tell us the job and we will tell you straight where it stands.

Summarized from the city's published code and web pages as read in October 2026. Codes change — confirm with the department listed before you rely on it.

How it works

Booking a dumpster in Rowlett

Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.

  1. 1

Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask what you are clearing, where the container needs to sit, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us. No forms, no waiting on an email.

  2. 2

We size it and quote it flat

You get one number covering delivery, the 7-day rental, pickup, disposal and a stated tonnage allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so.

  3. 3

    Delivered where you want it

The driver walks the spot with you and sets the container square on the driveway, lot or job site, boards under the rails. Same-day in Dallas if you called before noon.

  4. 4

    Load at your own pace

Keep it level with the top rail and keep the banned items out. Need a swap mid-job or an early pickup? One call and we are on it.

  5. 5

We haul it and sort it right

Concrete, metal and green waste get routed for recovery where North Texas facilities allow; the rest goes to a permitted landfill. You get your driveway back the way you left it.

Local answers

Dumpster rental in Rowlett — common questions

Is Rowlett same-day or next-day?

Usually next morning — about 41 minutes north-east. Ask.

Can a dumpster sit in the street in Rowlett?

No. The code keeps bulk out of the street and alley, and we found no container permit. The driveway is the answer.

Does Rowlett restrict who can supply a roll-off?

Yes — the City names itself the sole provider of temporary open-top construction containers and says Republic Services has exclusive rights. Tell us what the job is and we will say honestly what we can do.
