How Much Does a Dumpster Rental Cost in Dallas?

Typical prices by size

Across the metroplex, flat-rate roll-off pricing runs from about $350 for a 10 yard to about $750 for a 30, with the 40 quoted per job and distance adding a little at the far corners. The flat rate covers delivery, pickup, a standard 7-day rental and disposal up to the stated tonnage. Call (214) 239-1274 for a firm number for your address — the material and the city decide more than the size does.

What is in the flat rate

Delivery to your address, the container for 7 days, pickup, fuel, and disposal up to the included tonnage. No fuel surcharge, no pickup fee, no "environmental fee" that appears on the invoice later. If a smaller box does the job we quote the smaller box.

The three things that add to it

Weight. Disposal is charged by the ton at the landfill — the North Texas Municipal Water District facility that the Collin County cities route to listed $43.35 a ton in December 2024, and Mesquite's contractor schedule lists $33.37 a ton — and the flat rate includes a stated allowance. Concrete, brick, shingles, soil and tile use it up fast, which is why we put heavy loads in a 10 loaded level and tell you where the line is before you load.

Days. The standard rental is 7 days. Keeping it longer is a small daily rate, and we would rather extend it than have you rush a job — just tell us before the pickup date.

Prohibited items. Paint, oil, chemicals, tires, batteries, electronics, refrigerant appliances and asbestos cannot go to a landfill in a roll-off. If they turn up in the load there is a handling charge, and some of them carry legal penalties. The what-goes-in guide says where each belongs instead.

The DFW-specific costs

City rules. Several cities require the hauler to hold a franchise or permit with a percentage fee on gross receipts — Dallas at least 6%, Garland and Grand Prairie 5%, Carrollton 7.5%, Richardson 5% for construction debris — and nine cities reserve roll-offs to their own contractor altogether. Frisco's own program takes a $1,000 deposit per account. None of this changes our flat rate, but it decides whether a container can be delivered at all; the city-by-city guide covers it.

Street placement. A container in a Dallas street is a right-of-way matter and a lane closure needs a traffic control plan, both through Public Works (214-948-4290). The time is the real cost — allow days.

Hail season. The week after a big storm, every roofer in the metroplex is calling. Prices do not change, but availability does, and we tell you honestly where you are in the queue.

Dumpster or junk removal — which is cheaper?

For anything beyond a couple of pickup loads, a container you load yourself is cheaper, because you are paying for the box rather than the hours. For a small job you want gone today with nobody to lift, our junk removal crew is the better value. We run both and will say which on the phone.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a 20 yard dumpster in Dallas?

Mid-range in the $350–$750 band, with 3 tons included. Call for a firm number for your address and material.

Is there a cheaper option for concrete?

A 10 yard loaded level. It costs less than a 20 and its weight allowance is matched to dense material.

Do you charge extra for the far suburbs?

Sometimes a small distance adjustment for the far corners of the metroplex — Rockwall, Frisco, McKinney — said up front, never on the invoice.

Is the price the same for same-day delivery?

Yes. Same-day in Dallas and the southern suburbs when you call before noon, at the same flat price.
